A Healthy Body
Society has shared with us its belief of being a certain size, and having a certain look to be considered healthy. We are taught if we eat right, exercise enough and get enough sleep then you should “be healthy”.
During Covid, I like so many others found ourselves isolated at home. Overnight our world turned around. Many of us “stuck at home” turned to comfort. Food. We tried to exercise from home, tried to keep connected with our friends and family via zoom. We tried to be as normal as possible. But there was the Food.
I have always been one of those that had to watch her weight. I tried every program out there, Weight Watchers, Isagenix, Shakeology, Boot Camps, Fasting and I am sure I can come up with a few more.
I was brave enough to get on the scale a week before Thanksgiving, needless to say I was not very thankful for the numbers it showed me. Through a friend, who seemed to change dramatically overnight with her weight, I reached out and told her I don’t know what you are doing but I want it too.
A healthy body…..what does that even mean? So many of us are so conscious of how we look. Society is always telling us we should look a certain way, especially women. Choosing to have a healthy body is a very personal choice. I believe it comes from truly loving ourselves. As women we are constantly looking after others. We look after our home, our children, our parents, our partners, coworkers, pets and family member. I am sure there are others that I have not mentioned. I believe our inability to love ourselves comes from giving our power away. Think about that. How does that resonate with you? Do you even know what “your power” is? How would you describe that to yourself? Does it come from self-respect? Does it come from releasing self-judgment? How do you even begin to put yourself first?
The most common way people give up their power is by THINKING they don’t have any power. Not YOU my friend. You are a powerful strong courageous woman!!! Read that back to yourself a few times. You have the power within you just by changing what you are thinking. Change your thoughts, change your life.
Stop second-guessing yourself. You can live your life at a consistently elevated vibration. When you step into your power and synchronize your beliefs with your heart, mind, body and spirit your desire to achieve and succeed will be yours. You can step into your healthy body. It's your journey. Are you ready? I would love to support you on your journey to a healthier life.
