CranioSacral Therapy
is a gentle hands-on alternative healing approach that releases tension and restrictions deep in the body to relieve pain, stress, grief, emotional blockages, illness and trauma. It can also improve overall health of the body. CranioSacral Therapy is increasingly being used as a preventative modality for its ability to help build resistance to Dis-Ease you may be experiencing that could lead to Disease in the body.
A session is performed on a person fully clothed. Using a light touch, I can connect with your CranioSacral rhythm to detect any restrictions or imbalances the body may be experiencing. Listening to the body with this light touch allows the body the opportunity to heal itself. For more information about CranioSacral Therapy please visit this page.
I received my training through the Upledger Institute where I am recognized as an Advanced Practitioner Ill. I am also qualified to be a Teaching Assistant for the Institute. Please visit the Upledger website for all of the courses I have completed.
SOMATIC EMOTIONAL RELEASE
When the body experiences traumas, accidents, medical challenges, deaths, divorces and other challenging events in life, the body may unknowingly hold on to the event at a cellular level. The emotions are sometimes locked up in the tissue, which could be contributing to health issues the body may be experiencing. During the CranioSacral session, as the tissues begin to unwind and release, the memory or the trauma can also be released. I assist the body with gentleness and guidance as you move through this process with grace and ease.

CranioSacral Therapy For Children
Craniosacral Therapy is beneficial to people of all ages, especially infants and children. Childbirth can be a challenge for both mother and child. In an ideal vaginal birth, the baby's skull is compressed as it passes through the birth canal. This is a normal healthy process, helping to stimulate the cranial pump and to mold the skull. Within 10 days the baby's cranium becomes symmetrical and balanced.
However there are times when Cesarean-sections, suctioning and forceps are necessary aids during a challenging birth. This can place stresses on the cranium bones and may prevent the cranium from normalizing. A trained therapist in CranioSacral Therapy for pediatrics can help the baby's cranium become balanced. It can also assist in colic, nursing, torticollis, and other difficulties newborns may experience.
